Government Schemes
There are many Government Schemes currently available to help First Time Buyers get onto the property ladder. I have briefly explained these below and provided the link to the appropriate page on the Government website. I can arrange mortgages suitable for these schemes and will be happy to talk these through;
Shared Ownership
When you buy a home through a shared ownership scheme you buy a share of the property and pay rent on the rest. The share you can buy is usually between 25% and 75%.
You my eligible for a shared ownership scheme if your household earns £80,000 a year or less (£90,000 a year or less in London) and you cannot afford all of the deposit and mortgage payments for a home that meets your needs.
You will be able to buy additional shares in the future, up to 100% ownership, and this is called staircasing.
